eDiscoverySquad to Deliver Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS) for Google Apps

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md.–()–Governments and other organizations are grappling with how to manage the exploding volume of email and documents created, maintained, and stored in Google Apps. eDiscoverySquad is responding to this dilemma by announcing a new system to manage this information as a strategic asset, bringing higher levels of automation and control over traditional ECMSs, and making this managed information more useful.

“eDiscoverySquad is very proficient with AODocs document management product and its migration tools, and we are excited to partner with them to help government organizations like Pitkin County to better manage their critical documents and meet their strict compliance requirements.”

eDiscoverySquad has been a key technology resource for Pitkin County, in Aspen, Colorado. The goal is to develop a better way to manage unstructured data and email, so that the informational content can be used as a valuable strategic asset. By developing software extensions and integrating third party tools, information in Gmail and Google Drive will be easier to find, more accurate, and faster to retrieve from anywhere, at any time, on any device.

eDiscoverySquad is partnering with AODocs (www.aodocs.com) to resell, support, and provide a customized solution that delivers enterprise grade access control and information lifecycle management. Operating within Google Apps, the new ECMS will begin controlling information upon receipt or creation. By automating manual processes like document routing (workflows), data collection and update (eforms), indexing of scanned images (auto-categorization and tagging), records classification / retention (rules engine), and email management (via Google Vault); the enterprise can place appropriate controls at each step of the information lifecycle. Information will be stored in a clutter-free environment that is routinely cleaned of expired records, non-records, and e-trash. Sensitive information such as Personally Identifiable Information (e.g.; SSNs) will be identified and appropriately secured. The ECMS will begin by automating repetitive County business processes like permitting, document review and approval, grants management, and CORA (Colorado Open Records Act) searches.

Stéphane Donzé, CEO of AODocs says, of their partnership with eDiscoverySquad, “eDiscoverySquad is very proficient with AODocs document management product and its migration tools, and we are excited to partner with them to help government organizations like Pitkin County to better manage their critical documents and meet their strict compliance requirements.”

eDiscoverySquad has partnered with AODocs because AODocs has a proven enterprise grade access control and document management system that is seamlessly integrated with the Google Drive file system and security infrastructure to provide centralized user permissions by group, document workflow applications, and defensible record destruction with detailed audit logs.

“We are pleased to partner with AODocs, and support the customization of the system to meet the security, control and efficiency requirements of government organizations like Pitkin County,” said Jeffrey Goodwin, eDiscoverySquad’s Founder.

eDiscoverySquad is developing a comprehensive system to cover the entire Google Apps suite, including GMail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Hangouts, Google Sites, and other content that is exportable through Google Takeout.
